Congratulations to Professor Rhonda McKee

Dr. Rhonda McKee, Professor of Mathematics at Central Missouri State University, was named recipient of the 1999 Missouri Section Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics. At the Section's spring banquet at Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Dr. McKee was honored for her excellence in teaching that has been recognized not only by her department and the mathematics community of Missouri, but also by her peers at Central Missouri State University. She has also been named the university’s nominee for the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She will be recognized at the Governor's Conference on Education in December.

For the past two years Dr. McKee was co-director of an NSF, High Plains Consortium funded project entitled Missouri Undergraduate Faculty Enhancement. On campus she is a past vice-president of Central’s Faculty Senate and currently serves as a senator. She is a faculty sponsor for the student chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, and in 1995 members of the organization nominated her for "Sponsor of the Year" on campus, an honor she received.
